Responsible: Elearnify GmbH, Bireggstrasse 36, 6003 Lucerne, Switzerland, hello@gogymi.ch. This notice applies to Math Explainer at mathexplainer.ai.
Why we process data
A teacher uploads the photo of a maths exercise; from it come the recognised exercise, a written solution and an explainer video. Teachers have an account (email address, name, password hash). Pupils have no account; a shared link shows only the video, the exercise and the solution.
Which data
- The uploaded photo (reduced to 2500 px and re-encoded in the browser, without EXIF data), the crops of the recognised exercises, the recognised exercise text.
- The generated solution, the video, subtitles, a thumbnail, a technical log of the job.
- The teacher's account and session data; a session cookie is the only cookie besides the language choice.
Photos should contain no names, class lists or school stamps; the teacher checks this before uploading.
How long
Photos and crops are deleted after 30 days. Solution and video stay until the teacher deletes the job; a shared link can be revoked at any time and is then invalid at once.
Who processes the data
- Vercel (web app, data centre Frankfurt) and Cloudflare (files in R2 with EU jurisdiction, worker container in the EU, sending of sign-in and password mails).
- Supabase (database, Zurich).
- Anthropic, USA (recognising the exercise, solution and video planning from the photo and the text) and ElevenLabs, USA (speech for the narration). These providers receive the photo or the text of the explanation, no account data.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure and objection under the Swiss Data Protection Act (FADP) and, where applicable, the GDPR. Requests to hello@gogymi.ch. Teachers delete jobs and accounts themselves in the app.
